Plum: a small, round, soft, tree-borne fruit with a nice smell. Sounds good with the word ‘pudding’.

Plum: a musician who has no internet connection where she’s currently staying, and was totally oblivious to the fact that her forum members were already fully savvy to her ‘exciting album title’ news.

The conversation with management last night went as thus:

M: ‘Shit! You told a US mag the album title a few weeks ago, and they’ve just printed it!’

K: ‘Shit! Did I?! But I wanted to tell the forum first!’

M: ‘Shit! Let’s put a post up!’

K: ‘Wicked idea’.

Plums. Royal, ripe ones that smell a bit off.

I have to say, the internet is highly skilled at ruining surprises – back in the day (ooh me back) I would have sent you that information through the post with a little picture. Aw.

Truth is dear readers (and this is a pretty good excuse coming up), I was in hospital 2 days ago…Yes! A backless gown et al! I had a little operation to try and sort out my on-going midget kidney problems, and if this doesn’t work then I’m off to join the circus as the ‘Midget Kidneyed, Mutant Lunged, Huge Fore-armed, Big/Small Legged Busker’. I might even grow a beard.

So you must forgive me my mishap and lack of attention to online detail, as I was tucking into some hospital soup and sarnies after 60 minutes of who knows what while I was out for the count. No regression therapy for that particular lost hour thankyou very much…

Feeling surprisingly fine after it + very excited about you all knowing the album name. Still can’t get online, so no idea what you think of it yet, but it came to me sitting on a runway as the sun landed on my lap, and that was that.

Right! Off to recuperate with lots of pasta and a little trip to see ‘The Lives of Others’. If it’s anything like as good as ‘Sunshine’, I’ll be very, very happy. I mean, c’mon, sci-fi flick with massive spaceships, attractive cast, and eco-awareness theme?!! I think so!!
