Packing up for LA…where does a girl start!

Gold lamé bikini – check…
Tiny live wingless bat plus $10k wingless bat travel bag – check…
Shades a la Timmy Mallet – check…
Let’s, like, totally go!

The 3 gigs in America this time round are going to be a biiiit diiiiifferent…worked out something I reckon you’ll like. Wee bastard is VERY excited let me tell you. Keeps banging on the inside of his suitcase and repeating himself.

Really hoping we can still do the tv shows we were booked to do as there’s a massive writers strike going on in LA and many of the shows have temporarily stopped taping, so keep yer eyes and legs crossed that they can sit down with some cake and fizzy pop and work it out before we get there.

Had a day off in t’country yesterday and got trodden on by a large ginger horse. My woollen eyes! They weigh a bloody ton, AND with them steel toe-caps…What with the lump on the head, the mashed finger, and now decimated right toes, you’ll be able to bring your friends to the Fabulous KT Tunstall Victorian Freak Circus. I might just mash myself up a bit more with a fork for effect. Ok, I’m exaggerating about my miniscule injuries, but I could put on some latex wounds if you’d like.

So did you enjoy seeing me looking like a small child from Hobbiton next to Elle ‘The Body’ on Norton the other night?! And that guy who put the cashmere knob-warmer on…DESPERATE to get his kit off he was.

It’s so weird living out of a bag. You manage to fit impossible amounts of crap, tardis-like, into a small space, and as soon as you open it even just a little bit, it immediately looks like your flat’s been burgled. That’s Magic!

London, Wednesday November 7th....The Wheels on the Bus...

I was in my little cosy coffin trundling south back there after a top night in Liverpool…Hoping I didn’t offend anyone with my scouser impression, and mildly ashamed about the terrible joke involving intimate plastic surgery and ‘Brian’s new ears’...

I’ve decided we can’t have these gargantuan, rambling bi-annual diary entries anymore, it’s way too much pressure and I’m getting more and more tardy. So more and smaller.

My news is that I have a pretty little bump on my left frontal lobe after hoofing myself in the head with my guitar the other night at the end of the gig (smile and wave through the pain, smile and wave), a recovering strumming forefinger after a vicious toussle with a staple, and stubble rash on my right cheek after realising that all my male friends who come to aftershows NEVER shave.

Looking forward to a bit of Mr Norton! I did witness him mercilessly running the Backstreet Boys through the audience gauntlet the other week, and wondering what lies in store…

Paris was fucking amazing last night, brilliant crowd. Sam said he reckoned the spirit of Jimi Hendrix was fully present in the building – the Bataclan surely is a hang out for some kick arse ghosts. Imagine the super (natural) bands that get together in there in the witching hours…

My tradition of trying to link my random fact into ‘If Only’ (by saying for example, “IF ONLY humans could survive with no heads and finally die only due to starvation” (my cockroach fact – one of my favourites)) went a little squint last night when I chose the fact that pigs can apparently experience 30 minute orgasms. “If only…er…” Hmm.

Anyway, I said short!
